My View from the kitchen.
Tonight the restaurant was rocking. The word is getting out! COCONUTS PALO ALTO is open for business.
We are excited to hire a new bartender , this guy has some serious passion for the bar .
A master mixologist; we will pairing some IRIE , Caribbean Drinks and foods.
I am also playing around with my new toy , a smoker unit , can you believe i am able to purchase true JAMAICAN Pimento wood from a source back East. For those not in the knowing, to capture the true taste of Jamaican Jerk you have to slow smoked the meat over Pimento wood "PIMENTA" as it called in Jamaica.
So for $100.00 bucks i had a bag of wood chips and 4 branch of "PIMENTA" wood. Believe me back in the days in the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica i use cut the woods to make space for the growth of coffee beans, and years later i am writing a check for $100.00. Is it worth it? You bet it is.
